About the Role – TSPV-Cleared Analyst This role isn't just about numbers or dashboards — it's about recognising risk, surfacing trends, and shaping outcomes.
You'll be embedded in a secure government program focused on high-impact decision-making.
You will help policy, intelligence, and operational teams make sense of large and often sensitive datasets — discovering the narratives, gaps, risks, and opportunities within them.
What You'll Do Analyse structured and unstructured data to uncover insights that support mission success Identify patterns, indicators, trends, and anomalies in complex and classified information Apply judgment and insight to inform strategic, operational, or intelligence-led decisions Produce concise reports, briefs, and visual representations for senior federal stakeholders Operate within TSPV-secured environments, upholding the highest standards of information security Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including policy, intelligence, cyber, and defence professionals This is a mission-critical position, where your ability to observe, connect, and interpret will be a direct asset to Australia's national priorities.
What We're Looking For Must-Haves Active TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting) security clearance – non-negotiable Based in or willing to relocate to Canberra, ACT, for on-site full-time delivery Demonstrated experience in analytical roles within government, defence, intelligence, or law enforcement Ability to recognise subtle patterns, themes, or anomalies in large data sets Strong written and verbal communication — including the ability to produce high-quality briefings Sound analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and attention to detail Nice-to-Haves Degree or training in analytics, intelligence, data science, psychology, criminology, international relations, or related field Prior experience working in multi-agency environments or classified domains Familiarity with national security priorities, operational frameworks, or strategic planning Background in threat identification, forecasting, trend analysis, or behavioural analysis Contract Details Location: Canberra, ACT (On-site at a secure Commonwealth facility) Clearance Requirement: Active TSPV from commencement (not eligible for upgrade) Duration: 12-month initial engagement with multi-year extension potential Rate: Attractive daily rate, negotiable based on clearance, experience, and scope This role forms part of a long-term national program with structured planning, stakeholder maturity, and high-impact objectives.
