About the Role – TSPV Test Analyst This role will see you embedded within a classified program of national importance.
As a Test Analyst, you will design, execute, and manage test cases across the software development lifecycle — ensuring system functionality, stability, and compliance against stringent requirements.
You'll work in an integrated, multi-disciplinary environment alongside engineers, analysts, developers, and PMs.
Your mission: ensure that critical systems operate flawlessly under pressure, meet contractual and security expectations, and can be trusted by users across Defence, Intelligence, or Law Enforcement.
Develop and manage test strategies, plans, and traceability matrices aligned to system requirements Design and execute test cases and test scripts for functional, integration, performance, and security testing Identify, report, and manage defects using industry-aligned standards Ensure test activities align with security protocols, SDLC milestones, and acceptance criteria Validate interfaces, workflows, configurations, and custom components Maintain comprehensive test evidence and support audits or stakeholder reviews Work closely with project teams to mitigate risks and ensure quality throughout delivery Operate in a TSPV-classified environment, maintaining high discretion and data integrity at all times Why This Role Matters In this environment, testing is not an afterthought — it's a pillar of assurance.
Systems in these programs must be hardened, validated, and trusted, and that starts with the professionals who test them.
This is not about testing the same button 100 times.
It's about ensuring systems that may be used by Defence personnel, law enforcement operators, or strategic intelligence teams are fit-for-purpose, secure, and fail-safe.
Must-Have Requirements Active TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting) clearance – must be current at the time of application Significant experience in manual and/or automated testing across the full test lifecycle Deep knowledge of test strategy, planning, design, and execution Familiarity with working under formal test governance in structured SDLCs (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) Comfortable working in secure, classified, or high-risk environments Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and methodical thinking Strong documentation and reporting skills Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders including developers, project managers, and security teams Available full-time and willing to work on-site in Canberra (no remote access)Desirable Qualifications & Experience ISTQB or ISEB certification (Foundation or Advanced) Experience supporting programs in Defence, National Security, or Federal Government environments Familiarity with requirements traceability, compliance testing, or system certification Exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or test tooling (optional) Experience producing artefacts for external audit or governance review Location: Canberra, ACT – work must be performed on-site only in a secure Commonwealth facility Security Clearance: Active TSPV required at the time of commencement (essential) Duration: Initial 12-month contract with high likelihood of extension (multi-year program) Rate: Competitive daily rate, aligned with experience and clearance level Employment Type: Contract (ABN, Pty Ltd, or preferred supplier arrangements available) How to Apply We make it simple, fast, and confidential.
