Are you a team player with experience working as a Production Leading Hand and desire to work in the aviation industry? If so, we want to hear from youOur busy catering unit in Perth Airport is looking for a motivated and driven Production Leading Hand to join their team on a full-time basis.
Main Responsibilities include: Lead by example and perform all duties of a Senior Catering Attendant and Catering Attendant.
Supervise, train, and induct team members within designated work areas, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Understand and implement quality control techniques to meet customer specifications.
Organize the work area to meet productivity and performance criteria.
Identify opportunities for performance and productivity improvements.
Investigate stock discrepancies.
Use knives and machinery skillfully.
Ensure team members adhere to breaks and rosters.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Implement management directions.
Complete all documentation as per specifications and customer requirements.
Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
Adhere to loading and packing plans and equipment loading procedures.
Follow company policies on HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety, WHS, quarantine, and customs.
Work in other areas of the unit as needed to meet operational demands.
Requirements for Success: Flexible availability for various shifts across a 7-day week.
Experience in a food environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Basic knife skills and fine motor skills.
Own transport access.
Strong numerical skills.
Knowledge of WHS and hygiene standards.
HACCP experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
