As a proudly diverse and inclusive institution, we place a strong emphasis on Visible Learning to build high expectations for all students, and Choice Theory to foster a culture of autonomy, collaboration, and responsibility, creating a safe and nurturing environment where all can thrive.
The school has an Intensive English Centre for newly arrived students of non-English speaking background and a support unit for students with an intellectual disability and/or autism.
The school receives equity funding to support students from low socio-economic backgrounds.
Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach History 7-10 , Geography 7-10 and Business Studies Demonstrated strong subject knowledge in Stage 4–6 HSIE syllabuses and ability to design engaging, differentiated learning experiences using explicit teaching strategies that promote high levels of understanding and achievement.
Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and empathetically with students, teachers, and community members.
Strong classroom management skills with a focus on building positive learning environments, promoting respectful behaviour and high expectations that encourage student responsibility.
Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
