In your new role as Supplier Contract Specialist, you will support the contractual and day to day management of strategic suppliers for Customer Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing service performance management, compliance monitoring, data analytics, and digital process automation to ensure that our strategic suppliers meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services to our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires strong planning, governance, technical implementation, data analysis, process mapping and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units.

Your day-in-the-life as a Supplier Contract Specialist at Optus

  • Use data modelling and analytics tools, such as Power BI, to analyse contract data and develop metrics to measure and report on service performance.
  • Develop digital processes and automation tools to improve contract management efficiency, with a focus on service performance management and compliance monitoring.
  • Track, monitor, and analyse service performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop remediation plans, as necessary.
  • Ensure that supplier complies with contractual and service delivery requirements and coordinate the commercial and performance aspects of supplier engagement models.
  • Provide advice to business units on contract structure and contractual issues using legal and related professional advice.
  • Manage key performance payment mechanisms and supervise contract terms and spend, ensuring appropriate governance processes are followed, including benchmarking and process development.
  • Conduct commercial analysis to support business decisions, including demand forecasting, Service performance targets, and contract negotiations.

Your skills to pay the bills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in complex data sets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, such as Power BI, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerAutomate, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable experience in supplier performance management, contract management, commercial analysis, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in project management methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
