Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective Process Automation Energy Industries Division sales strategy within the specified market scope and maintain it, to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

The work model for the role is: Onsite/Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division in WA Perth.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Selling Control System (DCS/PMS) products/systems/services to existing customers in assigned region focusing on volume mixed and profitability target

• Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services and service contract offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

• Preparing service sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

• Experience in Negotiating Contracts while effectively communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

• Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Qualifications for the role
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or relevant discipline
  • You have 8 to 10 years of Sales experience in the Energy Industry (Oil & Gas, Power sector)
  • Possess knowledge within Control System Domain (Distributed Control System DCS, Power Management System PMS, Electrical Control System, Condition Monitoring etc.)
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes (Salesforce, Visit reports, CRM) and supports teams internally when needed.
  • You are passionate about customer service and sales driven
  • You are a Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
