Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Company Secretary to join their team in Sydney on a 12 month contract covering the APAC region.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish deep and effective relationships with business partners and peers to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities
  • Manage the provision of efficient, effective and timely company secretarial services to the Company
  • Maintain and continually improve the information systems and processes appropriate for the board
  • Provide advice on corporate governance matters relating to the Company
  • Support the Group Company Secretary with the preparation of Board papers and other materials as required
  • Proofread, prepare, file documentation and maintain various governance registers and databases

About You

You have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce) or Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Associate or Fellow of Governance Institute of Australia
  • 7 years previous work experience in the Company Secretariat department of an Australian corporate or post-admission experience advising on corporate governance and company secretarial matters
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Effective decision making and delegation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to drive success
