Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical initiative within their organisation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to a program of works transitioning all ICT services to alternate supply arrangements, with a priority focus on the Telephony Refresh Project. The successful candidate will have the chance to engage with the telecommunications market, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of a contemporary, resilient telephony solution. What you'll do:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our client's Triple Zero (000) Telephony Refresh Project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include engaging with the telecommunications market, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, and ensuring seamless transition to the new solution. You will be instrumental in producing project artefacts, coordinating resources, maintaining project registers, schedules and budgets/cost models. Your commitment to delivering high-quality results will contribute significantly to this critical initiative.

Contribute to the publishing of specifications and subsequent evaluation of market offers for solutions
Engage with current Service Providers to ensure integration between existing and new solutions
Collaborate with internal business stakeholders on user acceptance testing and transition planning
Conduct transition to the new solution while ensuring an effective support model in place
Coordinate with parallel projects and activities that have inter-dependencies
Plan and manage project delivery in accordance with PRINCE2 delivery methodology

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Project Manager role brings extensive experience in managing large-scale ICT projects. You are well-versed in PRINCE2 delivery methodology and have a proven track record of transitioning ICT services to alternate supply arrangements. Your understanding of telephony solutions will be crucial in delivering a resilient system that supports critical services. Your ability to coordinate resources effectively and manage parallel projects will be key to your success in this role.

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale ICT projects
  • Large scale Government Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of PRINCE2 delivery methodology
  • Ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external service providers
  • Experience in transitioning ICT services to alternate supply arrangements
  • Understanding of telephony solutions, particularly in terms of resiliency and availability
  • Excellent coordination skills for managing resources and parallel projects
