We are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant ASO4 ($48.35 per hour + super) with one of our state government clients for a short term contract with possibility of extension.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the quality and integrity of data and reports extracted from the administration systems for Super SA administered schemes.Undertaking the various reconciliations between the general ledger, bank accounts, administration systems and accounts.Undertaking and supervising the preparation of timely, accurate and high-quality financial statements in accordance with Auditor-General, applicable Accounting Standards and Treasurer's Instructions.Liaising with the external auditor and Auditor General's department with regards to year-end audit requirements and to resolve audit related matters.Creating, reviewing, and maintaining appropriate Chart of Accounts to facilitate preparation of various financial reports and reconciliations.

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:
Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting functionsExperience in the preparation, review and analysis of financial statementsExperience in analysing transactional data and making recommendations to decision makersProven experience and attention to detail when performing complex financial reconciliations.Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance Work experience in government (desirable) Excellent communication skills Proficient computer skills including MS Office Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
