The Opportunity

We are currently seeking applications for an experienced Finance Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Finance team and the business, in conjunction with the Director of Finance. The role involves providing high-level financial support and ensuring compliance with all finance-related procedures. Responsibilities include leading financial analysis and reporting, assisting and managing, where necessary, in budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, and working capital and cash control to achieve efficient, effective, and economic outcomes for the hotel.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar role is essential, preferably in the hospitality/hotel industry
  • Degree in Finance or a related business discipline
  • Verify contracts for groups and perform credit reference checks for direct billed groups as required
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports that are concise and comprehensive, ensuring delivery deadlines are met
  • Practice effective balance sheet management and ensure reconciliations are completed monthly following hotel and Marriott policies
  • Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with Marriott International Policies
  • Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned
  • Ensure full payroll compliance is maintained and achieved
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process as directed by the Director of Finance
  • Complete FBT return and statistical requirements as directed by the Director of Finance
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are a must
  • Proven experience in leading and coaching a team and building a strong culture
  • Rigorous commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • CA/CPA qualification and membership
  • Previous experience working in a similar role for a luxury and/or premium brand or 5-star hotel
  • Full working rights in Australia
