The Senior Teacher is responsible for maximising student outcomes through the leadership and management of learning interventions, individualised learning plans and student wellbeing programs to achieve optimal educational outcomes for all students including those with a disability and special educational needs.

The Senior Teacher works collaboratively and positively with the Principal and school staff to implement curriculum, wellbeing and educational programs that optimise learning and engagement of all students.

The Senior Teacher will be responsible for maximising student outcomes through the leadership, professional development and management of teaching and support staff of Nhulunbuy Primary School, working alongside school management and professional learning team leaders.

As a member of the school leadership team, the Senior Teacher is required to provide educational leadership through facilitating professional development and coaching of all staff or planning, development and implementation of high-quality programs to achieve optimal educational outcomes for a diverse and complex student cohort.

The Senior Teacher is the educational leader and manager of the English and Humanities Faculty. They oversee and support the implementation of an innovative and engaging educational program that caters for a diverse range of students and take an active role in student management and staff support.
