About the Role
The Department of Education at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Lecturer, Education to join their team.

The Department of Education is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and innovative academic who will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with a specific focus on literacy. Teaching will involve a range of blended and hybrid delivery methods, including lectures, tutorials and seminars. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to improvements and alignment of literacy teaching across courses in the department.

The incumbent will also contribute to teaching and learning activities as well as accreditation activities associated with external agencies and organisations. Additionally, the appointee will contribute to the research profile of the department by participating in, and leading a defined field of research within Education. The incumbent will be actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate research students.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:


• Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching with a focus on literacy, including a record of unit co-ordination

• Demonstrated competence in leading innovative teaching and curriculum development in on-campus, flexible, blended, and online modes of delivery

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to capacity building and mentoring of students

• Emerging track record of quality research outputs

Qualifications

• A Bachelor in Education and/or Postgraduate Teaching Degree

• A Doctoral qualification or near completion of a Doctorate, relevant to Education
