About the Role

The Department of Education at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Lecturer, Early Childhood Education to join their team.

The Department of Education is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and innovative academic who will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with a specific focus on early childhood education. Teaching will involve a range of blended delivery methods, including lectures, tutorials and seminars. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to improvements and alignment of early childhood education teaching across courses in the department.

The incumbent will also contribute to teaching and learning activities as well as accreditation activities associated with external agencies and organisations. Additionally, the appointee will contribute to the research profile of the department by participating in, and leading a defined field of research within Education. The incumbent will be actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate research students.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:


• Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching with a focus on early childhood education, including a record of leading unit and course co-ordination

• Demonstrated competence in leading innovative teaching and curriculum development in on-campus, flexible, blended, and online modes of delivery

• Emerging track record of quality research outputs

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to capacity building and mentoring of students

Qualifications

• A Bachelor in Education and/or Postgraduate Teaching Degree

• A Doctoral qualification relevant to Education
