The Regional Marketing Associate, ANZ is responsible for working closely with Commercial Sales and Regional Marketing partners, to plan and execute demand generation and sales enablement activities in the Australia and New Zealand and surrounding region.

This position is part of the Regional Marketing Organisation located remotely, with regular travel across Australia and New Zealand and surrounding region. At Cepheid, our vision is, to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing, business development, brand and external communication strategies, tactical plans and programs to optimize market share and profitability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial Sales partners in ANZ and Regional Marketing partners to brainstorm, develop and create assets to drive demand generation in the ANZ region.
  • Lead market research to assess current and future market conditions, competitive product, service and pricing practices and changing customer/prospect dynamics in order to influence new product/service development. This includes Marketing Operations.
  • Plan, organize and execute local marketing events (e.g., trade shows, conventions, sales meetings, webinars and seminars. Measure ROI from events and develop programs to nurture and convert leads to sales opportunities.
  • Support regional marketing team in preparation of and execute components of commercial marketing tactical plan, including product launches, utilisation of digital marketing in omnichannel campaigns, and reporting on KPIs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Life Sciences or Marketing
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in Marketing and/or Sales discipline in the Molecular Diagnostics or Devices Industry in ANZ
  • Expertise with complex, multi-departmental healthcare sales, working in cross functional teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for the audience to understand
  • Availability to travel up to 30% both to Australia, New Zealand and international outside of ANZ.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in TGA-regulated industries
  • Proficiency in sales/marketing enablement platforms such as Marketing automation platforms, Power BI, Miro, Workfront, Seismic, and
  • Understanding of region-wide cultural differences and approaches
