We have an exciting, newly created opportunity in Alstom to join the ANZ Procurement team as an integral part in the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the Supply Chain Development & export Development programs for Australia.

The primary responsibility for the Supply Chain & Export Manager will be to lead localisation and export opportunities to drive local content, job creation and export opportunities


This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive, implement and create a leading portfolio of sustainability in the Procurement development of local supplies.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with R&D manager, Social Procurement Lead, Local Content Manager and Industry Development director to ensure all targets, commitments and initiatives are realised in accordance with the relevant plans and programs
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier compliance with backtoback commitments under the Local Jobs First Policy and Social Procurement Framework
  • Identify and lead localisation and export opportunities to drive local content, job creation and export opportunities
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, driven by innovation and a commitment to developing rolling stock manufacturing in Victoria
  • Collect, identify and develop idea to increase the competitiveness of local businesses to participate in other projects in Australia and overseas
  • Work with the R&D Manager and Industry Development Director to oversee delivery of the Supplier Innovation and Export Readiness Program and associated programs including Innovation Showcases
  • Create and maintain processes that foster a culture of innovation at all levels of the organisation and our supply chain and develop processes for tracking, and measuring the effectiveness of innovation initiative
  • Keep a register of all opportunities to localized oversea scope in ANZ (Supplier with industrial capabilities, list of CAPEX required to localized with their cost, Engineering capabilities required in ANZ to localize.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering with a prefered focus in Procurement and/ or industrialisation
  • Experience of complex procurement environment, working with variou suppliers
  • Proven track record in working with teams to support and develop supplier expertise
  • Knowledgeable of Social Procurement and socialeconomic impacts and circular economy principles is highly beneficial
This is a full-time position based in Dandenong, Victoria.
