About the role

The main focus of the Performance Strategist & Innovation Lead is to provide comprehensive, efficient and timely analysis of information relating to elite players and teams, while building department wide tools for coaches, staff and players.

As the Performance Strategist & Innovation Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving data lead insights and strategies.

Reporting to the Head Coach Elite Teams, you'll be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of match day data.
  • Collection, analysis, editing and distribution of match footage for use by players and coaches
  • Creating reports and dashboards relating to accurate performance information and trends
  • Building systems and processes for Elite Cricket coaches, staff and players, including Athlete Management Systems and performance datasets

About you

The successful applicant must have:

  • 3+ years experience in analytics or related fields
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field desired
  • Background in cricket performance analysis
  • Ability to analyse data, translate and present insights to a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficiency with cricket technology, including data analysis tools and video technology providers, as well as[CE1] Athlete Management Systems
  • Data modelling and analysis skills in either R, Python, or Power BI (to fit within CA IT environments)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Fabric, Automate, Power Apps)
  • High-quality strategic skills around optimising workflows, integrating multiple, competing factors
  • Video analysis and editing experience (various tools, platforms and applications)
  • Current blue card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services Qld
