We are seeking a temporary full-time Sports Coordinator to lead our external programs. The Ascham Program consists of Rowing, Sailing, Snowsports, and External Programs opportunities. A competitive remuneration package will be provided based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. You will be covering a staff member on leave from 22 July 2024 to 18 October 2024.

The position will have the responsibility for coordinating and leading the administration of our external sports to maximise the positive effects of school sports involvement for our students. As a Sports Coordinator you will drive excellence within the Ascham sports program. You will provide an important link between key stakeholders and the sports department. Ensuring all external sports are well supported, receive pro-active high-quality administration/logistics assistance and clear communication to support the schools' vision for sport.

What do you need to succeed?

  • An appropriate degree or extensive relevant experience in sports administration/management.
  • An ability to be an effective team member, including initiative, passion, willingness to collaborate and people management skills to drive holistic sports involvement.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with all key stakeholders
  • Proven experience in coaching and/or leading other staff in their discipline
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • A valid Working with Children clearance.
