THE ROLE:


Reporting to the Program Implementation Lead, this position will actively enable implementation and monitoring of Council's Child Safe compliance requirements under the Victorian Child Safe Standards.

The Program Advisor, Child Safety works with and supports cross-organisational efforts to build the capacity of the organisation and carry out its responsibilities in regard to child safeguarding, monitoring outcomes and reporting to both Council and State government authorities.

The role will actively engage and work with key internal and external stakeholders in building a culture of child safeguarding.


ABOUT YOU:


To be considered for this position you will have a demonstrated understanding of child safety including best practice in this space.

You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial related experience, including demonstrated competence in research, data analysis, report writing and communication.


Key to the position are highly developed and effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, combined with demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

An ability to effectively prioritise and plan to achieve objectives, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems will see you be successful in the role.
