Job Title: Technical Director - Operational Readiness

About the Company: SYSTRA is a global consultancy firm that assists clients in executing complex engineering projects with a focus on safety, quality, and value.

The Technical Director - Operational Readiness reports to the Operations Manager in QLD and plays a crucial role in implementing processes, controls, and resources to secure and deliver projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead as a technical advisor for rail digital systems projects, offering expertise to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with clients to manage expectations and ensure service delivery meets requirements.
  • Drive operational changes in Rail Operator's systems due to the integration of digital train control technologies.
  • Update and align operations systems and processes for a seamless transition to digital systems.
  • Provide input on operations requirements and safety considerations during system development.
  • Resolve project conflicts to meet client and business expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Over 15 years of experience in rail operations, maintenance, and safety, with a focus on digital train control systems.
  • Expertise in railway signalling and control systems, preferable in systems engineering integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
