Purpose of Role:


The purpose of the role is to provide support to WMA manufacturing through the effective delivery of product quality to Customer specifications and maintain quality accreditation to ISO9001.


This would be done with the use of a Measuring arm and/or 3D scanning techniques, also undertaking root cause analysis of production issues, in a bid to eliminate recurrence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An independent check of product quality for prototypes and production parts, with the use of a Measuring Arm and/or 3D scanning techniques, in an accurate and timely manner to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Create all supporting documents and results from measuring arm/scanning and report back to manufacturing departments, also work with Engineering for any out of tolerance measurements.
  • QA Support to manufacturing depts when undertaking root cause analysis of production issues, in a bid to eliminate recurrence.
  • Gage Calibration Coordination across manufacturing.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineer/Trade or Graduate Engineer background.
  • Has performed a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Measuring Arms and laser scan.
  • Exposure to Root Cause Analysis or Lean problemsolving tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
