As a permanent part-time House Person, you'll be charged with ensuring our Housekeeping team is supported in all facets of the upkeep and presentation of the Oval Hotel. You will be reliable, have strong communication skills and have the ability to work autonomously as well as collaborating well in a team environment.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the housekeeping team with cleaning of rooms and public areas to meet the hotel's standards. Maintaining and restocking amenities and stores for the housekeeping department. Maintaining linen supplies and laundry duties as required. Stocking housekeeping trolleys and housekeeping stores as directed. Collecting and delivering dry cleaning and other guest items as requested. General housecleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping floors, removing rubbish, and keeping internal and external areas clean . Delivering towels, toiletries or other items to guest rooms as needed. Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs in a timely manner. Address guests' queries () and help guests retrieve lost items.Your skills and experience
Previous experience in a similar role (within a hotel environment desirable). Good physical health, with stamina to meet physical demands of position. Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products. Outstanding attention to detail. Strong communication skills including the capacity to build meaningful team relationships. Ability to maintain high workloads and meet tight deadlines, with exceptional time management skills.Please note that out of hours work including nights, weekends and public holidays are a requirement of this role.
