As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of our housing assets while meeting contractual, legislative, and operational requirements.
About the Role
- Lead and manage the Property Services Team to deliver high-quality asset management services, ensuring the optimal performance of our residential portfolio.
- Oversee maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and legislation.
- Collaborate with national teams to standardize processes and improve operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement in property management practices.
- Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard housing assets and ensure residents' wellbeing, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
- Manage budgets and provide accurate financial oversight and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team development, promoting a high-performing team culture and positive outcomes for our residents.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to achieve high-quality asset management outcomes, with a strong background in property, asset, and facility management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large property portfolios, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation, and a strong understanding of the intersection between housing asset management and resident needs.
- Excellent ability to prepare comprehensive management reports and evaluations, with high-level communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, planning, architecture, or construction, or equivalent leadership experience in a similar role.

Requirements
- Agree and undergo any other employment screening as required by Housing Choices Australia, including but not restricted to Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons and NDIS Worker (this will be as applicable based on the state location and/or function of the role)

- Provide a current driver's license and willingness to travel across Housing Choices' locations, if and as required.
