What you'll be up to in this gig

As Canva grows, change remains a key part of who we are. But we like to think of it as all part of the adventure. So, this will give you a glimpse of the kind of tasks you'll be handling at the beginning, but it's likely to evolve over time.

Currently, this position is centered on:

  • Crafting a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap that ensures our users' feedback is central to our product development process
  • Establishing a team of engineers, designers, and data scientists to execute this roadmap
  • Becoming the internal product guru on all aspects of user feedback and insights
  • Exploring fresh and innovative approaches to gathering various types of user feedback and insights from our 180m+ MAUs
  • Taking charge of the end-to-end in-product experiences for interacting with users to gather insights, and linking these with backend operations and services
  • Collaborating closely with teams throughout the company to ensure our users' feedback is taken into account, identifying effective ways to influence roadmaps

You're likely a good fit if:

  • You possess extensive experience in a product management role, formulating product strategies and delivering roadmaps with cross-functional teams
  • You have a background in Voice of Customer or User Insights programs, or at the very least a strong interest in championing users across the company to drive meaningful change
  • You have a proven track record of collaborating effectively with other stakeholders to influence roadmaps and prioritize product enhancements based on user feedback
  • You have experience in initiating teams from scratch to explore new and unclear problem areas, rapidly grasping the scenario and requirements while prioritizing projects and initiatives with the greatest impact
  • You have expertise in managing and integrating third-party solutions into in-product experiences and internal tools

About the crew

The Insights and User Advocacy group is part of the User Voice supergroup and is tasked with amplifying our users' feedback throughout Canva. Some of our tasks include collecting and analyzing user feedback through various channels, such as support tickets, social media comments, and in-product surveys. We then collaborate with teams across the company to comprehend, prioritize, and act on this feedback. The new User Insights Product team will be responsible for discovering the best and most innovative methods to ensure our users' voices are heard at all key points in their Canva journey.
