About the role


The Project Lead - Regional Shared Surgical waitlist, will report to the GRHSP Elective Surgery Delivery and Innovation Team Change and Redesign Manager and will take on all project requirements to investigate models to develop a regional approach to waitlist management.


This initiative will aim to:

  • Deliver a centralised approach for elective surgery waitlists and waitlist management; to ensure that all patients are treated in turn, in a timely manner, and at a location and time of their preference.
  • Conduct an audit of all waitlist activity & capability across the GRHSP in order to create a benchmark of current state and identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Explore bestinclass waitlist management models, in order to develop a viable regional wide approach for GRHSP, to reduce wait times and improve surgical outcomes.
  • Test, validate and deliver a functional waitlist on GRHSP surgery information systems to deliver on project outcomes
  • Deliver a functional and working model which meets the needs of all partnering health services in the GRHSP, and Safer Care Victoria.
