EPMO Lead

The Role

The position of EPMO Lead reports directly to the Director Infrastructure and Environment and is responsible for leading the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO).

The position involves working with staff across the entire organisation and is pivotal to the success of the City of Ballarat as a public entity.

The role will be accountable for ensuring the successful management of the day-today operations and performance of the EPMO and the provision of project management governance support to the City of Ballarat's portfolio of projects and programs.

The position is responsible for providing overarching oversight and governance across programs of work, supporting the City of Ballarat's vision, mission and values.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional leader who has demonstrated experience in working with project teams in the prioritising, planning and execution of a pipeline of projects.

This person will be a team player with a track record contributing to broader organisational leadership, transformation and culture.

The preferred candidate will also have excellent written and oral presentation skills to skilfully communicate complex issues and ideas to a variety of audiences to impact outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria

• A relevant tertiary qualification in and experience in Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline and sound relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated project management knowledge, skills and experience.
• Experience in leading a small team and commitment to contributing to broader organisational transformation and culture.
• The ability to communicate complex issues and ideas to a variety of audiences.
