As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will gather blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and determination to provide excellent customer service and high-quality healthcare.

Working under the Collection Lead and joining a dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health of Australians.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and precision
  • Maintaining detailed records for each patient and sample
  • Ensuring timely delivery of documentation
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transportation and testing
  • Communicating with customers, clinic staff, and couriers

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in Phlebotomy or a Cert III in Pathology Collection
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with a strong sense of empathy
  • Organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, including in a solo clinic
  • Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa holder with work rights

Requirements:

  • Vaccine preventable diseases evidence such as Hepatitis B is mandatory for this role
  • Other vaccinations may be necessary based on location or setting
