About St Peter's College


Founded in 1847, St Peter's College is an Anglican boarding and day school for boys committed to being an exceptional community of learning centred on truth, respect and service.

Our modern, purpose built Boarding House provides accommodation for 100 students from within Australia and overseas.


Over 1550 students from diverse backgrounds and abilities are educated at the School from the Early Years to Year 12.

About the position


The Head of Students with Diverse Learning Needs is responsible for developing, leading and facilitating effective learning and teaching programs for identified students to support their learning.

They will foster and encourage positive teacher-student relationships, through sharing and discussions about both student and teacher perspectives.


The Head of Students with Diverse Learning Needs will lead a schoolwide change for differentiation, work closely with Heads of Faculty, the Junior School DLN Coordinator and Teachers to support implementation of differentiated instruction in their academically diverse classrooms.

They will provide direct instruction, visit classrooms, co-plan, co-teach, provide feedback and share resources.

This is a 5-year leadership position with the possibility of extension following a successful review.

The Head of Students with Diverse Learning Needs position receives a 0.6 FTE time allowance and will be required to undertake 0.4 FTE teaching load.

  • Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching practice.
  • Experience leading a team of educators within the Diverse Learning space
  • A South Australian Working with Children Check and Teachers Registration.
  • A Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect
  • Education and Care (Fundamentals and Masterclass) Certificate.
  • A First Aid Certificate.
