Our modern, purpose built Boarding House provides accommodation for 100 students from within Australia and overseas.

About the position:

The role of the Head of Staff Development is to support JSLT and SSLT in driving staff development programs at the school. This will include assisting key partners in the planning and organisation of professional development, the support of new staff, the maintenance and improvement of the Peer-to-Peer Coaching Model, the management of the Graduate Teacher Program and support and organisation of preservice teachers.

This role also includes a 0.5 teaching load that will be determined by the Deputy Headmaster, Teaching and Learning.

This is a 5-year tenured leadership position, with a permanent teaching substantive, to commence at the beginning of the 2025 school year.

As the successful applicant you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • South Australian WWCC, South Australian Teachers Registration,
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass certificates.
  • Demonstrated high level of competency in teaching practice.
  • Ability to initiate and lead innovative practice.
  • Experience leading high performing teams.
  • Previous experience in leading projects and change management is desirable.
