Add expected salary to your profile for insights Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4 C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4 S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.

D4 C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.

We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.

D4 C is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in the waste water program of works across the Southern Region.

What this role will entail? This role will be an integral part of the project team owning the outcome for construction delivery of their projects.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be leading a program of works and your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to: Supporting Construction Leads to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality and regulatory standards.

Setting daily, weekly and long term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials and resources.

Monitor and review costs, invoices and claims for allocated projects Contributing to the constructability of a project with respect to design development Undertaking tender, evaluation, and award of subcontract procurement packages Monitor the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans.

Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of self perform workforce and subcontractors to achieve outcomes Liaise and coordinate with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities and manage their attendance on site as necessary.

Contribute to and foster a good safety, quality, environment and a community culture with a view to deliver differently.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent Minimum 8-10 years' engineering experience Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality and environmental management Client relationship and stakeholder management experience Highly competent with MS office Drivers licence White card This role is important to our future growth and impact.
