1 x permanent ongoing role
1 x two-year fixed term contract position

The Education & Events Officer role is based in Bendigo and reports to the Engagement Coordinator. It is part of the broader Communications and Engagement team at Coliban Water.

In this role you'll take on the day-to-day responsibility for the operational and administrative coordination of high quality, face-to-face, hybrid and online education and events.


You will:

Support and develop curriculum and strategy aligned education incursions.
Support and develop Coliban Water's event footprint across our region.
Identify and nurture relationships with community groups, schools, and others.


Together with the team, you'll ensure our education and events program has clear and measurable objectives and increases customer and community awareness of how we sustainably manage our precious water resources for the future.

You'll be naturally curious, at your happiest talking with people of all ages and from all walks of life, a dedicated problem solver, unafraid to roll up your sleeves, and fantastic at dotting your I-s and crossing your T-s.

So, whether you have a background in marketing, communication, teaching or training, event management, or other experience, you might have just what we are looking for.


Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate:
Highly developed engagement skills and the ability to build effective and professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical, planning, and problem‐solving skills.
The ability to perform a variety of tasks to deliver an effective engagement and events program.
Proven ability to provide tactical and strategic advice on engagement activities to management and staff at all levels.
Proven experience delivering face to face and online engagement programs.
A tertiary degree in education, communications or engagement is desirable, but not essential.
