THE COMPANY
Our client was one of Western Australia's more reputable accounting firms with 5* ratings from more than 80 businesses in Perth.
They have been around for more than 15 years and were one of the very first WA Accountants to move to the cloud and they have continued to be paperless for years.
They were also one of the very first Accountants in WA to move to the Xero Online Accounting System and continue to be Xero experts with their clients enjoying the streamlined benefits, which add real value to their business Accounting System
They are committed to building close, lasting, and mutually beneficial relationships with their clients and they work closely with them to identify opportunities that may exist to improve their overall financial well-being and minimise the amount of tax payable.
Their offices are located in the heart of stunning East Perth, right by the Swan River and Claisebrook Cove, with a short stroll to The Royal and some great cafés and restaurants close by.
The Partner set the business up more than 15 years after starting his career with Big4 and having worked for a very large mid-tier firm, he realised that the big corporate world was not for him, and he preferred the flexibility that a smaller boutique is able to offer.
The business has grown to more than 10 employees and their continued success has meant that their client base continues to grow through referrals and recommendations.
Their client base is local and well established and taking good care of their clients is a priority.
Their team in East Perth are well established, friendly, fun, and approachable and their staff turnover is low, with several members of staff being around for more than 10 years, some even from the start.
They believe that pulling together as a team is key to success and they have regular team building exercises that allow them to have fun and work together as a team.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies and trusts, partnerships & individuals
- Prepare, oversee and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax and statutory reporting requirements
- Assisting with tax planning, entity setups etc
- Assist to manage client relationships
- Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and review work for junior members of staff
- Ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy and deadlines are met
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Will need to have 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Be working towards or completed your CA or CPA
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.
