The Opportunity:

Joining as the Communications Engineer, you will report to the CA31 Battlefield Communications System (BCS) Tactical Communications Network (TCN) Sustainment Manager. Your responsibilities will revolve around engineering tasks related to maintaining CA31's TCN product fleet, collaborating with a team of engineers and technicians, and supporting other CA31 BTN capabilities as needed.

Your role will involve stakeholder engagement, research in radio frequency communication engineering, specification management, and resource allocation to support defense materiel capability development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical engineering tasks under broad direction
  • Exercise assigned engineering authorities and delegations
  • Identify and address risks and uncertainties
  • Provide advice on evolving engineering standards and regulations
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the team and mentor junior engineers
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess technical packages, review designs, and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Ensure safety considerations in all communication engineering activities
  • Manage workflows, resources, and team plans

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in RF/Communications engineering
  • Registered Chartered Professional Engineer
  • Extensive experience in complex engineering
  • Prior experience in the Defense Industry
