About the Role:


Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and leading a small team of three direct reports, the Communications Manager is primarily responsible for leading a comprehensive and integrated communications strategy for Flinders Foundation and providing strategic advice and support on all communications matters.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Flinders Foundation communications strategy.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of all written and digital communications
  • Manage the Flinders Foundation brand, website and marketing collaternal
  • Manage the design and digital portfolio
  • Be the point of contact for all media liaisons on behalf of Flinders Foundation
  • Lead a small but dynamic team of 3 direct reports specialising in marketing and design
  • Build and maintain relationships with audiences across the Flinders Precinct.
  • Manage budgets and financial transactions associated with the Communications portfolio.

About You:

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role (journalism, public relations, communications or related field) that involved high empathy/service levels to clients, supporters or the community.
  • Extensive communications, marketing, media management, brand management and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience in project/campaign management and ability to deliver against desired outcomes.
  • Successful track record of effective stakeholder management including internal and external relationship building.
  • Creative and innovative thinker that uses diplomacy, drive and empathy in developing strategies.
