The Role


Our Corporate Planning Division is looking for a Manager - Strategy and Corporate Affairs to join the team on a two-year fixed term contract.

They will be responsible for the implementation and management of MCA's Corporate Affairs strategy, media communications and government relations.

Some typical duties include:

  • Managing corporate governance functions and events as required by the Board of Directors.
  • Preparation and distribution of company reports to Asia Pacific and Managing Offices.
  • Providing advice on corporate related policies and procedures, and monitoring internal compliance.
  • Conducting research and analysis of new industries, sectors and markets.
  • Coordinating strategy related matters within the Corporate Planning Division including preparation of strategic business plans, strategic analysis, and implementation of strategic objectives.

As a corporate governance specialist, you are organised and manage your time effectively. Your strategic mindset and proactive nature will see you succeed in this role.

You will also possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent English and Japanese language skills including reading, writing, speaking is required.
  • An understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and commentary.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills with an ability to consolidate information from a variety of sources.
  • Strong presentation and design skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related discipline is preferred but not essential.
