The opportunities
1 x Dispatch Controller - North Fitzroy and 1x Dispatch Controller Sunshine west


We're on the hunt for a new Dispatch Controller to help us keep our buses running on time, giving support to the drivers as well as Co-ordinating Resources, recording service and safety data to help with the smooth running of operations.


In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating operational movements of staff and vehicles in relation to scheduled requirements such as changeover of shifts, scheduled servicing of vehicles and providing effective cover of unexpected events due to breakdowns, staffing changes and other ad-hoc issues that impact our service levels.

Ideally this would suit a person looking for gain new skills within other areas of the service delivery team. Someone with strong analytical, problem-solving skills and good communication skills

This is a dynamic role that involves:

  • Covering vacant shifts in the event of unplanned situations
  • Allocating vehicles and coordinating the bus yard runout
  • Organising schedules for vehicle and staff changeovers
  • Liaising with the Operations Control Centre to communicate updates on any impacted services
  • Providing support to frontline employees during incidents and emergencies
  • Monitoring operational changes and updating information in relevant systems
  • Reporting on daily operational performance and implementing any corrective actions
