Reporting to the Advisory People Manager and partnering directly with dedicated business groups you will champion best practice people management by providing people services to compliment operational needs and requirements.

This varied role will provide you an opportunity for involvement in a broad range of People matters, seeing you support not only the region but also getting involved in global and national strategic initiatives.

This role nominally supports the Australian region with some additional support to our business in New Zealand and Asia.

Your role:

  • Support the business by planning, resourcing and executing People plans and working through solutions to result in successful business outcomes.
  • Support the inclusive workplace culture that serves to attract and retain great talent
  • Act as a change champion to support GHD's people strategy and support the business through transformational change
  • Develop trusted partnerships with key stakeholders and the broader business
  • Support leaders to address and mediate issues
  • Facilitate talent management to align our people capability with business needs
  • Work with leaders to collaboratively develop actions to build a highperformance culture and increase staff wellbeing and engagement
  • Support the development and delivery of broader Learning and Development within region
  • Support and advise staff in relation to GHD's People Policies and Procedures
  • Ad hoc domestic travel may be required (where possible).

What you will bring to the team:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • in HR, Psychology or Business paired with a high level of HR experience preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of people advice and strong business partner orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Excellent communication, influencing, mediation and relationship management skills.
  • Change management skills that embed new behaviours and practices
  • Sound judgement and decisiveness
  • Similar experience in New Zealand and/or Asia desirable but not essential.

This is a permanent fixed term opportunity to support a maternity leave however we will consider applicants from Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney and can be flexible with full or part time (0.8 as a minimum).
