Manager (Legislation and Policy) Road Safety

The Manager (Legislation and Policy) will strategically manage delivery of the legislation, regulatory outcomes and policy changes required for the National Services Transition (NST) Program.

The role will be part of a high performing and established team who are delivering other aspects of this program.

Experience in leading complex Machinery of Government transformations would be an advantage.


You will give expert advice to colleagues and to senior management of the division relation to legislative and policy changes.


Some of your responsibilities will include:
- co-ordinate cabinet and parliamentary processes for changes to legislation
- consult and negotiate with internal and external clients and other stakeholders
- support senior management and the Minister, including briefings, documents and inquiries.

Requirements of the role:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance and expert advice to colleagues and to senior management on complex issues.
  • Demonstrated excellent levels of written, oral and interpersonal skills appropriate to senior levels of government and industry.
