Job Title: Social Worker at Central Therapy

About the Role

As a Social Worker at Novita, you will deliver community-based services to individuals with various disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and neurodevelopmental challenges. The aim is to enhance the social well-being of clients and families by advocating for justice and social equity, breaking down barriers, and expanding opportunities.

As a proactive and dynamic Social Worker, you will offer information, psychosocial assessments, and therapeutic interventions to support individuals with disabilities and their families in a collaborative environment. Your role will involve connecting them with necessary services and providing the assistance required to accomplish their objectives and overcome any hurdles to accessing essential support.

Novita's Social Workers conduct comprehensive needs assessments, provide support during difficult times, assist in major life transitions, and offer guidance in navigating the intricacies of the NDIS and the disability sector.

This position is a full-time 12-month maternity leave cover based in Hindmarsh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work
  • Significant experience in a similar Social Work role
  • Familiarity with the NDIS environment
  • Experience in clinical supervision preferred
  • Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and commitment to AASW accreditation

Requirements

  • NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children, and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination compliance as per Novita's policy or valid exemption from Chief Public Health Officer

Remuneration and Benefits Package

The total remuneration package comprises base salary, annual leave loading, and statutory superannuation contributions. Take advantage of up to $15,900 in salary packaging, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Additional benefits include meal, entertainment expenses, novated leasing, and extra super contributions.
