About School Infrastructure NSW


School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school.

This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

About the role


The Manager Education Development is an exciting opportunity for a learning and development professional to lead a new initiative to support and build a skilled workforce to deliver school infrastructure for the people of NSW.


The Education Development Program will encompass five training, education and skills pathway programs, including (but not limited to) cadet and graduate programs, and infrastructure traineeships and apprenticeships, to inform both individual and partnering capability.


The Manager Educational Development role will focus on partnering with higher education organisations and industry to develop pathways into the infrastructure sector and maximise educational opportunities for those already working at the Department.


The role will be supported by a team and have responsibility for mapping training, education and skills pathways to align with the skill needs role capabilities to drive educational development to support the future workforce needs of School Infrastructure NSW.


About you

  • You have proven experience in establishing learning and development initiatives and supporting capability development within an organisation.
  • You are committed to working collaboratively and translating the program's strategy, both across government and with external partners.
  • You have proven experience of delivering results while facilitating opportunities to engage and collaborate with external stakeholders to develop joint solutions.
  • You are able to develop a clear project proposal with measures for key program objectives, performance outcomes and mitigation strategies.
  • You are confident is your skills to translate technical and complex information clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply._

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development, Adult Education or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • Extensive experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs.
