The primary purpose of this role would be to utilise your passion for data and analytics to help inform profitable growth strategies for the Allianz Consumer Products, working closely with Product, Pricing and Distribution partners.

You'll be responsible for

  • Support the development and lead the execution of Portfolio and Pricing Strategies, incorporating insights from market, competitors, and customer research, and ensuring it is appropriately reflected in our annual Financial Plan.
  • Deliver the monitoring of market, competitors, performance, and insight development that drive strategic pivots as needed, including defining the key performance indicators and relevant measurement indices for products/portfolios within the role remit.
  • Contribute to the setting of risk appetite for the products and portfolios within the role remit in line with the enterprise risk appetite statement and ensure adherence to the risk appetite.
  • Utilise data and insights to maintain appropriate Target Market and manage portfolio exposure in line with accumulation management requirements.
  • Drive continuous monitoring of trends and growth opportunities, including identification of underperforming segments, driving remedial actions to address any variances between actual and forecasted performance.
  • Contribute to the financial planning process and engage with key stakeholders to implement relevant portfolio actions.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Pricing and data lead Portfolio Management role within general insurance or other relevant industries.
  • Experience working with internal and external data and analytical tools along with the ability to interpret complex data analysis is highly essential.
  • Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy and valuable analytical solutions with key business stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/ or industry recognised accreditation.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities to evaluate complex alternatives, make confident judgements and develop innovative, sophisticated solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products, industry practices and governing legislation.
