CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out innovative, impactful research of strategic importance to CSIRO that will lead to novel approaches and/or solutions to improve Indigenous health using digital technologies.
- Conducting primary research, developing study protocols, engaging in stakeholder consultation with the Indigenous community and a diverse group of clinicians, engineers, and end users, and performing analyses to derive novel insights for technical design and implementation evaluation.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of an Indigenous Health research program across the Australian eHealth Research Centre, with key support from CSIRO's Office of Indigenous Science and Engagement.
- Producing high quality scientific papers suitable for publication in peerreviewed journals, client reports, blog posts, and grant/funding opportunities.

AU$89k - AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
- A doctorate (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a PhD) in a relevant discipline area, such as health informatics, health system evaluation, public health, primary health care or Indigenous health research
Please note:
To be_ _eligible for this role you must have
no more than 3 years (full-time equivalent) of postdoctoral research experience_.
- Experience in undertaking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research.
- Experience in research methods including at least two of the following: critical review of scientific literature; codesign; implementation and/or evaluation; health data analysis; health data standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in cross cultural communication, in particular with relevance to Indigenous people, communities and/or health organisations.
- Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business.
