ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced individual with a solid understanding of Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education student administrative requirements to provide leadership and direction on system optimisation and continuous business improvements by facilitating effective information management, resource planning and timely provision of information for end users.
KEY DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership for the Student Administration department and associated responsibilities to ensure achievement of deliverables, effective processes, a high level of customer service and a positive working environment.
- Manage continual development of the Student Management System (SMS) and student administration policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and efficient, effective and compliant student administration processes and services which optimally leverage system capability.
- Student Information Management to ensure accurate and compliant student records for the complete student lifecycle from admission through to graduation.
- Ensure a culture of continual business improvement is instilled within the Student Administration team through assessment and implementation (where applicable) of new technologies and business solutions.
- Manage the Institute's student related external claims and reporting processes and related compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective management of student receivables.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and support to a range of stakeholders in respect to student administration requirements.
- Manage the development and delivery of student administration training to ensure student administration staff have the required level of process and system understanding to effectively perform their role.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant tertiary degree and significant experience preferably in an education administration environment. A post
- graduate qualification will be highly regarded.
- Significant management experience and skills in leading and developing teams and functions and development of departmental goals, priorities, plans and performance metrics.
- Strong IT skills and experience with complex management information systems (preferably student management systems) and a demonstrated trackrecord in their effective utilisation and optimisation.
- Strong track record of business process improvement.
- Experience working in a compliance driven environment and in implementing quality control and assurance measures to ensure desired outcomes.
