About the role:


We have two exciting opportunities for highly motivated and committed individuals to join the Student Management Team as the Student Management Coordinator - Centre for Food Trades and Culinary Arts and or Student Management Coordinator - Centre for Tourism and Hospitality.


The roles will supervise Student Management Officers within their respective Centres ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness and creating a positive morale and working environment.


Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance and support to Student Management Officer's.
  • Coordinate student management services for VET Education.
  • Establish and maintain effective systems and procedures.
  • Review and evaluate student management services.
  • Manage responses to student enquiries, requests and complaints.
  • Monitor the integrity of AVETMISS data and ensure Student Management Officers take remedial action to ensure data meets the standards as outlined in the HESG Performance agreement.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment with emphasis on customer service and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience operating a student management software system.
  • Sound knowledge of Vet environment and the requirements of service agreements with the Higher Education and Skills Group of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to contribute to, and be a part of cross departmental teams and communicate effectively with Institute staff, students and industry personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
  • Proven experience in effectively managing performance of direct reports.
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with the William Angliss Institute Values.
