About the Role
In this newly established position, you will directly report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and lead a team of permanent staff members as well as a dedicated group of casual workers and volunteers spread across Australia.

As the COO, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Establishing and fostering a safety-oriented culture that promotes accountability and enables proactive decision-making.
  • Evaluating, enhancing, and implementing a suitable risk management strategy.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders – including employees, volunteers, and partners – to deliver outstanding programs for children and young individuals.
  • Working alongside clinical experts to identify, study, and develop suitable programs to address market demands and funding opportunities.
  • Creating and executing operational plans aligned with the organization's strategy to facilitate long-term planning and resource distribution.

About You
You are an experienced professional with a proven history in operational leadership within or in collaboration with charity stakeholders. You possess expertise in managing large teams, program delivery, service provision, project management, risk assessment, and compliance. A problem solver at heart, you thrive on operations, systems, processes, and end results. You excel at translating strategy into robust delivery programs and teams through strategic planning, policies, training, KPIs, and data utilization.
