About the role:


The Safety Lead plays a crucial part in coaching, mentoring, and supporting the national ARC business to cultivate a robust and engaged Health and Safety function.

The primary objective is to lead and drive the ARC integrated safety business model nationally, delivering key safety processes, nurturing a proactive and interdependent safety culture, influencing key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across the business.

This role can be based at any of our Melbourne or Sydney ARC sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach, mentor and develop Safety Business Partners nationally
  • Lead and delivery work health and safety strategy in line with the ARC business model
  • Contribute to enhancing health and safety performance and address incident trends.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify hazards, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Assist line leaders in the effective implementation and communication of the GFG health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures.
  • Ensure that safety systems within the business unit comply with local legislation.
  • Conduct audits of business processes associated with inherently highrisk activities.
  • Support introducing new health and safety initiatives through delivering training sessions, predominantly facetoface.

About your experience:

Additionally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated background in WH&S in an operational environment
  • Leadership or senior technical knowledge of WH&S business mode integration
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • An innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude.
  • Commitment to safety compliance.
  • Experience in engagement with staff at all levels to modify behaviours in safety
