Planning Director - Data Centre's - Dubai

Job Purpose:


As the Director of Planning for a leading Developer in Dubai – Data Centre division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting planning functions to steer and oversee projects towards successful completion.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President- Projects Controls, you will be responsible for the delivery of key project milestones across all phases.


Pre-Tender Phase:

Tailor a project-specific integrated Master programmer in Coordination with all relevant Parties, and submit to the line manager for review and approval.

Collaborate with the Design Manager and Project Lead to identify and address areas of concern, anticipate delays, and devise recovery plans.

Develop and maintain a pretender risk register in consultation with stakeholders.
Develop, maintain, and update a project procurement tracker for all allocated procurement packages.

Tender and Appointment Phase:
Monitor bidding and procurement progress to ensure alignment with the agreed Procurement Tracker dates.
Evaluate and provide feedback on bidders' tender programs during tender evaluation and negotiation.

Post Tender Execution and

Delivery Phase:
Administer the review and approval process of the Contractor's baseline program.
Review, control, and monitor Contractors' program of works, delay forecasts, and recovery programs from a developers view.
Compile necessary records to facilitate evaluation of Contractor's claims for extension of time under the Head Contract.
Liaise with project QS to ensure consistency between Interim Payment Certificates and site progress.
Attend site progress meetings and inspections as required to monitor and control progress.
Update and maintain Procurement Tracker to ensure alignment with Head Contractor's approved programmer.
Administer periodic site visits and ensure milestones are accomplished.

Frameworks, Boundaries, & Decision-Making Authority:
Operates within Company policies and organizational frameworks.
Authorised to make decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management.
Data Centre Experience is mandatory.
