Reporting to the Head of Education Programs, the Learning Designer/Education Advocate (VIC) will be part of a team that develops engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans, immersive learning experiences and unique content that incorporate emerging technologies.

You will be delivering professional learning and development opportunities for teachers on site and in various schools across the state (and interstate), online or in a hybrid capacity.

You will be actively facilitating and participating in our online teacher communities and will be the trusted Lumination partner that circulates feedback between the client and our internal teams.


A day on the job will see you:

  • Delivering immersive technology-based professional development courses for teachers and school ICT staff
  • Designing, developing and implementing innovative student focused learning content specifically for the use within our Lumination Learning Labs
  • Developing and delivering education technology focussed event and workshop content
  • Being an ambassador of Lumination out in schools with teachers, educators, ICT and leadership staff by traveling out to our sites regularly and fostering impactful relationships
  • Managing the inperson and online Lumination community of Educators, including organising customer meetups and designing smart, creative initiatives that support the role's objectives
  • Supporting our internal teams to source and develop content that demonstrates the goodnews stories of the technology, feeding back what can be improved upon and further product development and developing school profiles for fostering collaboration and engagement between schools.

To impress us you'll need

  • A tertiary qualification in Education (secondary school experience will be highly regarded)
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in creating, evaluating and delivering curriculum linked educational content in a classroom or other similar setting
  • Ability to connect the use of emerging technologies across the curriculum (Australian Curriculum, NSW Curriculum, Victorian Curriculum)
  • A passion for and understanding of best practice when using emerging technologies like VR, AR, AI, and coding in the classroom
  • A current teacher's registration, with relevant training in mandatory notification (RRHAN), first aid and working with children's check (WWCC)
  • Engaging presentation skills, and a drive to build strong relationships with teachers and other stakeholders
