ABOUT THE ROLE

KnoxGrammar School has been at the forefront of Positive Education for the past twelveyears. A strong focus on practical evidence-based approach in positivepsychology and wellbeing science underpins our School Community and is embeddedin our strategic vision.

AsBoarding Wellbeing Leader, you will be a key member of the Wellbeing Team atKnox Grammar School.

Thispart time role is focussed on the design and implementation of a range ofinnovative programs that support best practice in relation to our boardingstudent's wellbeing and covering such areas as:

  • Counselling and Wellbeing
  • Stress Management
  • Peer Relationships
  • Effective academic and study skills

Thisposition is permanent part-time (term time, plus 1 week). The working hourswill be negotiated with the successful candidate; it would include a minimum of3 days per week, between 3pm to 9 pm, totalling between 15 and 20 hours perweek.

Thesuccessful candidate will be able to demonstrate.

  • Current professional registration in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
  • Experience working with young people as a counsellor.
  • Knowledge of psychological principles and adolescent development.
  • A working knowledge of Positive Psychology.
  • Ability to participate in a team approach to child and adolescent wellbeing.
