Expression of Interest – Student Client Support Team MembersWhat are we looking for?We have an awesome opportunity for student client support team members to join our Class Actions practice group in Melbourne or Sydney CBD, working within our growing Client Engagement Team. These positions will be on a casual basis and will require a minimum commitment of three days a week. There will be an opportunity to work additional days at peak periods, including weekends.Our Class Actions team handles claims on behalf of large groups of people facing similar issues who may not have access to legal services on their own. The class actions range from shareholder, trusts, human rights, medical device to bushfire claims.These specific student client support roles focus on a project dedicated to administering the settlement of three Consumer Credit Card Insurance class actions resolved by Slater and Gordon against major Australian banks for over 1 million everyday Australians eligible to participate as group members.You will work as part of a dedicated team of student client support members to address group member inquiries regarding the settlement administration. Thorough training on handling group member inquiries will be provided, and a legal qualification is not necessary for these positions.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Working as part of a team of dedicated student Paralegals led by a team lead;
  • Addressing group member inquiries via phone and email;
  • Maintaining records and general administration;
  • Compiling statistics for reporting purposes.

A resume and academic transcript are mandatory for the selection process.The following characteristics and skills will enhance your performance in the role:

  • Excellent academic record
  • Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience in call center operations
  • Customer service background in any retail sector
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Clerical or administrative background
  • Proven time-management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Sound judgment to efficiently resolve inquiries or escalate when necessary
