Job Title: Intellectual Property Paralegal

Job Summary:

AFL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our client's winning national Engineering/ICT team. As a valued member of the team, you will provide administrative support to two outstanding patent attorneys, assisting with the protection, commercialisation, and enforcement of intellectual property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and proof-read various correspondence and documents;
  • Upload documents and maintain accurate information on client portals;
  • Liaise with IP Australia for document productions, lodgements, and amendments;
  • General administration (e.g., diary management, arranging travel and meetings).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal secretary/administrator or paralegal in intellectual property (preferably patents);
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) with a fast typing accuracy (minimum 55wpm);
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record as a team player;
  • High accuracy and ability to meet deadlines;
